The Mahindra XUV 3XO, which is the facelifted version of the XUV300, has recently launched in India at a starting price of Rs 7.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Mahindra is offering the XUV 3XO in five main trim levels: MX1, MX2, MX3, AX5, and AX7. Except for the basic model, all other variants have additional sub-variants labeled as 'Pro' and 'L' for the MX and AX lines, respectively, taking the total trim count to nine. The MX3 variant marks the entry-level variant for features such as cruise control and automatic transmission for the diesel powertrain. In this article, we will closely examine the features of the XUV MX3 variant, with the help of real-life images.
On looking head-on, the XUV 3XO MX3 variant’s design is identical to any other variant in its lineup, but misses out on LED headlights and fog lamps. Instead, you only get LED DRLs and halogen projector headlights. The gloss-black grille and bumper design remain unchanged.
From the side profile, it gets body coloured door handles, blacked-out ORVMs with turn indicators and blacked-out A and C pillars. Roof rails are also a miss in this variant. Instead of alloy wheels, you rely on 16-inch steel wheels that get silver-coloured five-spoke wheel covers.
At the back, the MX3 variant misses out on rear defogger and wiper with washer. The central light piece of the connected LED taillights does not light up as well. The MX3 variant also misses out on a roof-mounted spoiler.

The mid-spec MX3 variant of the XUV 3XO shares the same dual-tone dashboard theme as its higher-spec counterparts, but retains the electronically operated manual AC control panel from the previous XUV300 model instead of the dual-zone climate control unit which is reserved for higher trims only.
The MX3 variant also marks the entry-level trim for features including a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and wired Apple CarPlay, cruise control, and a wireless phone charger.
Additionally, the MX3 variant of the XUV 3XO is equipped with steering-mounted controls, cruise control, wireless phone charging, an analogue instrument cluster, and a 4-speaker sound system.
While the segment-first panoramic sunroof is exclusive to the top-spec variants, the MX3 variant does get a single-pane sunroof.
Safety features in this variant include six airbags, electronic stability control, all-wheel disc brakes, and rear parking sensors.
Being a mid-spec variant, it does not get leather upholstery, but it gets rear AC vents for added comfort.
Mahindra XUV 3XO AX3 variant is offered in both petrol and diesel engine options. This variant also marks as the entry level for a diesel automatic powertrain:
Engine |
1.2-litre turbo-petrol |
1.5-litre diesel |

117 PS |

Notably, the T-GDI turbo petrol engine option is limited to the top-spec AX7 and AX7L variants only.
