2022 FIFA World Cup Security Force Bolstered With Lamborghini Urus S!

The Qatar Police adds yet another high-end performance car to its fleet. The recently revealed facelifted Lamborghini Urus S is now being used by the security force of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The Middle Eastern country’s police fleet includes the likes of Porsche Panamera and Cayenne, Audi Q7, Nissan Patrol and even a Lamborghini Gallardo. The Urus S in question is covered in a white shade with Blue and Red stripes featuring the ‘Qatar Police’ logo and a bull bar at the front. Be careful if you’re bending the laws in Qatar as the cops have a couple of fast rides to catch you.

Lambo’s performance SUV recently received a facelift and powertrain updates. The Urus S gets an improved version of its 4-litre twin-turbo V8, making 666PS and 850Nm, which is 16PS more than before. It’s paired with an all-wheel drivetrain and can sprint from a nought to 100kmph in 3.5 seconds. 

You can alter its performance and suspension settings with driving modes such as Strada, Sport, and Corsa and off-road modes like Neve, Terra, and Sabia. The ‘Ego’ mode can be personalised, wherein the dynamics can be specified by the driver. 

The Urus S is expected to reach Indian shores by mid-2023. Interestingly, we get the even more hardcore Performante variant of Lamborghini’s only SUV here already.

The Urus Performante is priced at Rs 4.22 crore (ex-showroom) in India. The most hardcore variant of the SUV does the zero to 100kmph sprint in 3.3 seconds. Thanks to the use of several carbon-fibre components, the Performante is lighter by 47 kilograms and is thus QUICKER! Not only that, you also get a ‘Rally Mode’ for taking your Urus Performante on dirt tracks.
