Currently, Renault has three models on sale in India: Kwid, Kiger and Triber.
After almost 18 years of operations in India, the French carmaker Renault has reached the production milestone of 10 lakh cars in the country. The 10,00,000th unit which completed this milestone was the Renault Kiger. Just two weeks prior to this, the carmaker achieved a milestone of sales of 9 lakh units in India.
Renault has its manufacturing facility in Chennai which has the capacity to manufacture 4.8 lakh vehicles per year. The carmaker also uses this facility to manufacture units for export. Currently, Renault exports to 14 different markets in countries of the SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation), Asia Pacific, Indian Oceanic, South African and East African regions.
Renault started its operations in India in 2005 in a joint venture with Mahindra. The first car that came out of this partnership was the Renault Logan in 2007. This partnership came to an end though as the French marque decided to go independent in the country. And post that, Renault launched its cars called the Fluence and Koleos. In a couple of years, we saw many more models from the carmaker like the Renault Pulse and the Renault Duster, the latter being a very popular model.

As of now, the carmaker has three models in its India lineup: Kwid, Kiger and Triber. Also, Renault is planning to bring three new models to India starting in 2025, including the facelifted Renault Duster.
