Royal Enfield has a few muffins baking in the oven of late, and one of the most anticipated among those is the Hunter 350. According to a new report, the highly anticipated retro-modern motorcycle could be ready for launch pretty soon.
With its retro-modern styling, the Hunter certainly resembles the Triumph Street Twin. The round headlamp, teardrop fuel tank and long single seat accentuate the Hunter’s British design inspiration.
The Hunter is said to be designed using the same ‘J’ series platform we have seen underpin the latest Classic 350 and Meteor 350. But, the Hunter’s suspension setup is likely to be tuned to match its sporty demeanour.
The latest development also suggests that the Hunter may come equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels and not 18-inch jobbies as believed earlier. The bike is likely to weigh somewhere around 190kg and 195kg.
The Hunter’s heart will be the same 349cc, single-cylinder engine that churns out 20.2PS and 27Nm as we have seen on the Classic and Meteor. This should make this an ideal daily rider and a fairly decent machine out on the highways too. We think it’s likely to be tuned more like the Meteor 350 for a peppy and sporty ride.
Expect the pricing to be around Rs 1.7 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), making it the most affordable J-series motorcycle in RE’s line-up. It’s very likely that Royal Enfield will be launching the Hunter 350 in the second half of July and it may be available in two variants.
