Harley-Davidson’s electric arm, LiveWire has a new offering called the LiveWire S2 Mulholland and is now available to buy in the US and Canada for a sticker price of $15,999 (about Rs 13.33 lakh). It is Harley-Davidson’s third offering EV after the LiveWire One and LiveWire S2 Del Mar and is based on the S2 platform.
Compared to the flat-track-inspired Del Mar, the LiveWire S2 Mulholland’s design is inspired by Harley-Davidson’s cruisers but with a much more minimalistic approach. It gets a 6-inch handlebar riser and slightly rear-set footpegs, which leads to an upright riding position and a more raked-out front compared to the Del Mar. The chopped front fender and the shortened rear fender adds to the minimalistic design of the bike. Being an EV and appealing to the environmentally conscious demographic, the Mulholland’s seat is made of a silicone biomaterial, the front and rear fenders are manufactured using bio-composite materials made from recycled plastics and agricultural byproducts.
The LiveWire gets a 10.5kWh capacity battery pack with a claimed range of about 195km in city conditions. Its motor produces 84PS, giving the Mulholland a top speed of about 160kmph and a 0-96kmph acceleration time of 3.3 seconds. The Mulholland takes 5.9 hours to charge from 0-80% using a Level 1 charger (110V unit) and 1 hour and 18 minutes using a Level 2 charger (240V). It has a fully adjustable 43mm inverted fork and a monoshock with preload and rebound adjustability. Braking duties are taken care of by a front disc with a four-piston caliper and a rear disc with a single-piston caliper (both from Brembo).
The EV gets a 4-inch TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity and app-based functionalities like navigation, ride history and more. It gets 5 riding modes: Sport, Road, Range, Rain and Custom. Seat height on the EV is about 768mm, ground clearance is 146mm, wheelbase is 1,468mm and it runs on a 19-inch front wheel with a 120-section tyre and a 17-inch rear wheel with a 180-section tyre.

The LiveWire S2 Mulholland is not coming to India anytime soon as the brand itself is not available here. But this isn’t Harley-Davidson’s only attempt at diversifying its portfolio of motorcycles as its most affordable offering ever, the Harley-Davidson X440 has been quite popular in India ever since its launch last year. In fact, a couple of months back, it even outsold the Triumph Speed 400 and Triumph Scrambler 400 X combined.
