Skoda India is celebrating the 7th year anniversary of its flagship SUV, the Kodiaq, sold in the Indian market. To commemorate the occasion, Skoda is offering a hefty benefit for a limited time period of 7 days starting from July 18 till July 24, 2024. These offers include a 7 percent customer advantage with benefits up to Rs 2.5 lakh.
Furthermore, Skoda is also offering a complimentary standard service package along with an additional complementary extended warranty for the 5th year of ownership.
Skoda’s flagship product in the country, the Kodiaq has been around for over 7 years in the Indian market and rivals other premium SUVs like the Hyundai Tucson, VW Tiguan and the Jeep Meridian. The Kodiaq is available in a single top-spec all-wheel drive “Laurin & Klement” trim in a 7 seat configuration.
The Kodiaq is a feature-wise well-stacked SUV with niceties like an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a premium 12-speaker Canton surround sound system, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, heated and ventilated front seats with 12-way power adjustability, a three-zone automatic climate control unit, dynamic chassis control (adjustable dampers) and a panoramic sunroof.
On the safety front, it is well equipped with 9 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, a 360 degree surround view camera with front and rear parking sensors, hands-free parking assistance, ISOFIX child seat mounts and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
The Skoda Kodiaq gets powered by a 190 PS/320 Nm, 2-litre turbo petrol engine, mated to a 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch automatic transmission). This being an all-wheel drive variant, the power is driven to all four wheels. Additionally, the Kodiaq also offers different driving modes to aid in overall driving experience, namely: Eco, Comfort, Normal, Sport, and Snow.
The Skoda Kodiaq is priced at Rs 39.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and rivals other premium SUVs in the market like the Jeep Meridian, Hyundai Tucson, VW Tiguan and the upcoming Nissan X-Trail.
Skoda is already working upon bringing in the next-gen Kodiaq to India. Few recent sightings and spied images of a test mule have given a glimpse of its exterior design changes. You can check out more details about the new Kodiaq in this report.
