Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo Will Get Both Turbo-petrol Engine Options

• Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo to get 1-litre and 1.5-litre TSI engines.

Skoda India will launch the Kushaq Monte Carlo on May 9 and the model has already begun arriving at dealerships, giving us a fair idea of what to expect. 

Select dealers have commenced unofficial bookings as well and according to our sources, the new variant of the Kushaq will be offered with both 1-litre and 1.5-litre TSI engine options. What’s more, both motors will be offered with the choice of both manual and automatic transmissions.

The Kushaq Monte Carlo will feature a more sporty demeanour as the regular variants’ chrome elements on the exterior have been blacked out. The standard 17-inch alloys have been replaced with bespoke units that look similar to the now-discontinued Skoda Octavia RS245. Further, you get model-specific badging as well. 

Inside, the Kushaq Monte Carlo gets an all-black theme with contrasting red highlights. This variant will come with an 8-inch digital driver display in addition to the equipment on offer in the top-spec ‘Style’ grade. The Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo will command a premium over the top-spec Style trim that is priced from Rs 14.89 lakh (ex-showroom). It will rival special edition models like the Kia Seltos X-Line, Hyundai Creta Knight Edition, and, also the Volkswagen Taigun GT.
