Skoda India recently introduced its most affordable offering in India, the Kylaq. Its prices start from Rs 8 lakh and go up to Rs Rs 14.40 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom). When buying a new car, some buyers prefer to stick to the same segment, while others explore options from different segments. Similarly, the Kylaq falls under the category of sub-compact SUV, competing against the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, and Mahindra 3XO.
However, if you are looking for a car from a different segment at a similar price, you are at the right place as we list out equivalent mid-spec compact SUVs for the price of a top-spec Kylaq.
Price range - Rs 14.36 lakh
The Hyundai Creta is one of the most compelling alternatives to the Kylaq. One can pick its S (O) variant at Rs 14.36 lakh (ex-showroom). This variant offers an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment dual-zone AC, a panoramic sunroof, push button engine start/stop, and 17-inch alloy wheels (with Titan Grey Matte only). Powering Creta S (O) is a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 115 PS and 144 Nm. While there is only a 6-speed manual gearbox, the cheapest CVT automatic variant will set you back for Rs 15.86 lakh (ex-showroom). At a premium, there is also an option of the S (O) Knight at Rs 14.51 lakh and or S (O) Titan Grey Matte at Rs 14.56 lakh (ex-showroom).
