Skoda Auto India has made a significant update by introducing six airbags as standard across all variants of both the Kushaq and Slavia, hence enhancing the safety quotient of both the cars.

The Kushaq and Slavia were launched in July 2021 and March 2022 respectively. They're built on the MQB-A0-IN platform, specifically localised for India. Both cars earlier got an impressive 5-star rating in safety tests for adults and children by the Global New Car Assessment Programme (Global NCAP). The Kushaq got its rating in October 2022, and the Slavia in April 2023. These models were the first made-in-India cars to achieve dual 5-star ratings, especially under the stricter test rules of Global NCAP.

The Kushaq lineup includes the Active, Ambition, and Style variants, with additional options like the Monte Carlo and Elegance Editions available for those seeking premium features. Similarly, the Slavia lineup starts with the Active, progressing through the Ambition and Style variants, with the Style Edition and Elegance Edition offering top-tier features. Both models retain their 1-litre TSI and 1.5-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine options, and customers can choose between a six-speed manual, six-speed automatic, or seven-speed DSG transmission.

The Skoda Slavia is now priced from Rs 11.63 lakh to Rs 18.83 lakh (ex-showroom) and competes with the VW Virtus, Honda City and Hyundai Verna. With the addition of these safety features, the prices for all the variants now command an increment, and the differences are now as follows:
