In an effort to increase Skoda’s engagement with the today’s tech-savvy generation and create a loyal customer base, the carmaker – in line with its global Web 3.0 initiative – has announced Skodaverse India where users can log on and buy/trade NFTs (Non Fungible Tokens). For Skodaverse India, the carmaker has partnered with Antier, a blockchain consulting firm.

To understand Skodaverse better, you first need to know what an NFT is. An NFT or Non Fungible Token is a type of art which can be in the form of an image, video or audio. Buying an NFT through blockchain (the system on which cryptocurrencies run) will make you the sole owner of that piece of digital art.
Skoda will allow the users of Skodaverse India to buy or trade NFTs using cryptocurrencies (INR, USD, Euro, and other currencies) which have been declared legal tender by the government, so that users from around the world can use Skodaverse India.
Apart from this, the carmaker recently teased the new-gen Superb and Kodiaq, both of which may hit the Indian market sometime next year. Let us know what you think about this, and if you would buy NFTs through the Skodaverse.
