e-access vs access125

Suzuki E-Access has been unveiled at Auto-Expo 2025, along with the all new petrol-powered Access 125. The petrol-powered Access 125 has always been a strong contender in the scooter market in India. With the electric scooters slowly taking on the scooter market, Suzuki could launch the newly-unveiled E-Access soon.

Lets compare the differences between the electric E-Access and the petrol-powered Access 125.

Design

When compared, both the E-Access and Access 125 look distinctively different.. The Suzuki E-Access has got a well-defined typical japanese scooter design. Whereas the 2025  Access 125 gets a proper restyling with which it looks a lot more attractive. It retains the retro-modern design language with new body panels.

Underpinnings

Both scooters offer similar underpinnings featuring a telescopic suspension and a monoshock. The E-Access and Access 125 also get a front disc brake, but the petrol-powered Suzuki Access 125 also gets a drum brake variant.

Features

The E-Access offers a lot more in terms of features. Things like all LED lights, keyless operation using a key fob, coloured TFT display with navigation, two riding modes, reverse mode, side stand interlock and tip-over detection. The Suzuki Access 125 gets an updated multi-function digital instrument console, engine stop/start tech, and LED headlight.

Verdict

Right now, it’s too early to decide the winner between the two, especially since the e-Access isn’t launched yet. That said, the two Suzuki scooters give a choice on both ends of the spectrum for the potential customers. The Access 125 has been gaining popularity since a while now, and with the e-Access, Suzuki now has a two-pronged strategy to increase its share in the Indian scooter segment.
