Launching soon in Italy, the NH T300 will be the most powerful bike under SYM's range in the country

Showcased at EICMA 2021, the SYM NH T300 ADV is all set to be launched in Italy soon. This will be SYM’s highest displacement motorcycle in Italy. Though it looks like a smaller capacity version of the Honda CB500X, the NH T300 actually borrows several design cues and more from its smaller sibling, the SYM NH T200.

The bike sports a Euro-5 compliant, single-cylinder 278.3cc engine that produces 25PS and 24Nm, paired to a six-speed transmission. The bike is claimed to have a top speed of 139kmph, which is decent enough for its class.

When it comes to styling, the T300 gets the same design as the T200, which is a fusion of an adventure and a street bike. It gets the same dimensions as well as the 11-litre tank, which for its class is pretty small. The bike features a telescopic fork and rear monoshock suspension setup. The T300 gets 19’ front and 17’ rear spoke wheels, a great setup for trail taming. Along with the wheels, the T300 also borrows dual-channel ABS and aluminium rims from its smaller sibling. However, the T300 weighs 166kg, 14kg more than the NH T200.

Additional features include an LCD instrument cluster, LED headlight and taillight which are again borrowed from the T200 along with a quick charge USB functionality.

The SYM NH T300 seems like a decent offering by the company and the right step to graduate to larger capacity bikes. While SYM is unlikely to enter India, you could take a look at the new Yezdi Adventure if you’re in the market for a 300cc ADV. Other alternatives include the Royal Enfield Himalayan, KTM 250 Adventure, and the BMW G 310 GS.
