Tata Motors recently showcased the Curvv at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Expo.
The all-electric Curvv will go on sale first followed by the ICE-equipped model.
Curvv EV is expected to deliver a range of around 500 km.
Curvv will be offered with a choice of both petrol and diesel engine options.
Curvv is expected to start around Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom) while the Curvv EV is expected to be priced around Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom).
One of the most anticipated launches from Tata Motors this year is the Curvv SUV-coupe, which looked almost production-ready at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Expo. We already know that the Curvv EV will be launched first, followed by petrol/diesel versions. Now, Tata Motors has confirmed the launch timelines for both the Curvv and Curvv EV. This car will mark Tata’s entry into the hotly populated compact SUV segment.
Tata Motors has confirmed that the Curvv EV will be introduced on our shores in the second quarter of the financial year 2025 which is between July and September 2024. The ICE-powered Curvv will follow three to four months after the launch of the Curvv EV. This highlights Tata's plan to capitalise on this year's festive season sales with the launch of the Curvv models.
The all-electric Tata Curvv EV will be based on Tata’s new dedicated Acti.ev electric-only platform, which also underpins the recently launched Punch EV. While we do not have details about its powertrain, it is expected to get two battery pack options in the 40 to 50 kWh range. For more details of the Curvv EV, you can refer to our earlier report.

With the ICE-equipped Curvv, you will have the choice between petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol variant is expected to feature options of the 125 PS 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine as the base option and the 170 PS 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine as the higher-end one. The diesel variant, on the other hand, will get the Nexon’s 115 PS 1.5-litre diesel engine. Tap here to take a look at the Curvv which was recently showcased at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024.
The ICE-powered Curvv is likely to be priced from Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Curvv EV is expected to be priced at Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). The Curvv will compete with the SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and Skoda Kushaq, while the Curvv EV will rival the MG ZS EV, Hyundai Kona Electric, and the recently spotted Hyundai Creta EV and the upcoming Maruti Suzuki eVX.
