Tata Nexon Red Dark edition confirmed for launch soon.
Will sport red inserts on exterior along with a completely black exterior shade
The cabin could get new additions like red ambient lighting and upholstery along with a fully digital driver’s display.
Electric derivatives of the Nexon could also get the new edition.
Likely to carry a premium over Nexon’s existing Dark edition, which starts from Rs 10.8 lakh (ex-showroom).
Remember when Tata revealed a new Dark edition for the Harrier and Safari SUVs back at the Auto Expo 2023? Well, the same treatment will now be given to Nexon as Tata has shared a teaser confirming the same is in the pipeline and on its way soon. So here’s what you can expect from the Nexon Red Dark edition:
Entices like none other.

Going by what the showcased Harrier and Safari Red Dark editions sported at the expo stall, you can expect red inserts on the Nexon’s grille and brake callipers. Of course, the overall exterior hue will be black but the lettering that denotes the Black edition could be finished in red, depicting the Red Black edition.
The dashboard theme will more likely than not be black as well, however, the seat upholstery is likely to be red, giving the interior a stark contrasting look to the regular Dark edition, as seen on the bigger SUVs. Now, the Harrier and Safari, both sported a larger 10.25-inch infotainment screen; however, we reckon that it will be reserved for the facelifted Nexon, which was spotted testing for the first time recently.
Although details are sparse in terms of what the new edition will bring to the table, the sub-compact SUV could get red ambient lighting and even a seven-inch digital driver’s display like both the Harrier and Safari Red Dark Edition models.
Given how every previous special edition of the Nexon has been limited to the alteration in its styling and features list, this one should also stick to the same narrative and continue with its two standard powertrains: 120PS/170Nm, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol unit and a 110PS/260Nm 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine. A six-speed manual is standard, while a six-speed AMT is offered as an option.

The existing Tata Nexon Dark edition retails between Rs 10.80 lakh and Rs 14.30 lakh (ex-showroom) so you can expect Tata to charge a premium over these prices. The same changes are also expected to be offered to the Nexon EV.
The new Red Dark edition will help the Tata Nexon stand apart in the sea of sub-four-metre SUVs which includes the Nissan Magnite, Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Honda WR-V, Mahindra XUV300 and the Renault Kiger.
