The Atom GP 1 Is Here To Fulfill Young Indian Racer’s Dreams

Now the youth has more opportunities to start their racing career because of the mini racing bike

CRA Motorsports just made it easier for young Indian racers to start their racing career, with the launch of the Atom GP 1 mini racing bike, priced at Rs 2,75,000 (ex-showroom). CRA Motorsports currently has a production capacity of 250 units per annum. The bike is designed for small karting tracks and only kids of age 10 years and above are eligible to use it for training and racing purposes. 

The body of the Atom GP 1 is made of fibre glass, and it is powered by a 159cc single-cylinder air-cooled carbureted  4-stroke engine with a 5-speed gearbox and a race-tuned exhaust system. It makes a competent 15.05PS and 13.85Nm, and has a claimed top speed of 105kmph..  

CRA Motorsports has announced that they are planning to launch the Atom GP Series in 2023 with four national level rounds. They also have plans for a 5-round national level championship in 2024, which shall culminate  with an Asia level finals round, with participants from five different countries. And for 2025, CRA Motorsports is planning to conduct 5-round national level championships in various countries around the world, leading to a worldwide racing series with participants from Asia, Europe, and the USA. 

Participants in the Atom GP Series must be between the ages of 10 to 17 years. For the national level championship, the grid will be made up of a minimum of eight riders and a maximum of 15 riders. Each round will consist of two practice sessions of 10 minutes each, a qualifying session of 10 minutes, and two races of eight and ten laps. 

CRA Motorsports also provides training on karting tracks in Bangalore, Kerala, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, UAE, and Malaysia, and aims to have a minimum of three Atom GP motorcycles per location by the end of 2023.
