The Tata Nexon was first previewed as a concept at the Auto Expo 2014 before going on sale in September 2017. Over the six-year life span, the SUV got plenty of variant rejigs, special editions and even a facelift when the BS6 version was introduced in 2020. In the same year, the SUV also got an electric powertrain, making it one of the first long-range EVs in the volume-based segment.
It’s no doubt that Tata has been taking customer feedback for the Nexon very seriously, by making tweaks based on the reception it received. For instance, the carmaker launched a long-range version of the electric SUV with more features and tweaks, making it a more rounded package.
The SUV is also well loaded, even by today’s standards. Highlights include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, a sunroof, ventilated front seats, cruise control, and a Harman sound system. Passenger safety is taken care of by dual airbags, ABS with EBD and electronic stability control.

So how does Tata intend to keep the Nexon’s success formula working? Well, the Indian marque has been hard at work with the revised 2024 Nexon, which is a heavily revised version of the current model. It gets plenty of design influences from the Curvv concept, plentiful new features and a variety of powertrain options. Check out the new Nexon in more detail here.
Prices of the Tata Nexon currently range from Rs 7.8 lakh (ex-showroom). It locks horns with the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Mahindra XUV300 and Nissan Magnite. Expect the revised model to command a premium over the current version when it goes on sale.
