The world awaits the debut of the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, but that hasn’t stopped individuals from building more hardcore versions of the trusty Himlayan 411. This particular example sports a 462cc engine, claimed to make 34.47PS!
A YouTuber has built this custom Royal Enfield Himalayan using a bunch of aftermarket parts. The highlight of this project is the new 462cc big bore kit from UK-based Hitchcock Motorcycles. This is complemented by parts like a performance camshaft and a Straight Flow air intake, both from the same company. Furthermore, there are upgrades like a K&N filter, Powertronics ECU, Powertronic FuelX Autotune Pro, PowerRage slip-on exhaust, heavy duty clutch and clutch springs.
The result is a motorcycle that can churn a dyno-tested 34.47PS. That’s almost 9PS more than the stock Himalayan. In fact, this bike makes more power than the KTM 250 Adventure and even the BMW G 310 GS.
Of course, this would be a pricey project, and while the complete cost of the build is not known, the big bore kit itself costs almost Rs 70,000, excluding the taxes. That said, there’s another maniacal Himalayan under development in India – The Himalayan 822, which flaunts a parallel-twin engine built using to Himalayan motors. Stay tuned for our exclusive coverage on Auto Engina’s project.
