THIS Is When The Mahindra Thar 5-door Will Be Launched In India

• Redesigned LED headlights, a new grille, and 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels are the design changes made.

• Expected to get a sunroof, a digital driver's display, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

• Front parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, and six airbags should all be included in the safety kit. 

• To get a 2.2-litre diesel and 2-litre turbo-petrol engine, likely with a bit more power. 

After leaving us to speculate from the numerous spy shots bombarding the internet, Mahindra has now hinted at the time frame when the Mahindra Thar 5-door could hit the markets. It’s slated for an India launch in mid 2024 and apart from its extra length, the larger SUV will pack more features as well. 

In a document released which transcribes a conversation with Mahindra ED and CEO Rajesh Jejurikar, it’s pretty evident that the Thar 5-door will be launched around the middle of this year. 

The most recent spy photos of the production-ready test mule provide us a detailed overview of the impending Thar 5-door's appearance, including a close-up view of its inside. First off, the console and seats on this specific test mule are all black, while the beige roof liner adds a touch of sophistication. Additionally, you receive the new Mahindra steering wheel that is available for the Scorpio N and XUV700.

Mahindra has also concentrated on enhancing the Thar 5-door's comfort levels. There is now a centre armrest for the front passengers. Though they have an armrest, rear AC vents, and Type-C USB charging outlets to keep your gadgets charged, it's obvious that the back seat passengers have been given an emphasis here. It's obvious that Mahindra is doing everything  possible to make the Thar 5-door a great family car as well.

It is expected to be launched at a price band above the 3-door Thar which starts at Rs.11.25 lakh.
