Priced at Rs 45.50 lakh, the new 220iM Sport Pro trim is priced the same as the sole diesel-powered variant. The base-spec 220i M Sport trim is more affordable by Rs 2 lakh and gets the same powertrain as the new trim, but fewer features.

What’s new?

There are no revisions to the exterior of the BMW 2 Series, but the new 220i M Sport Pro trim brings changes to the cabin of the sedan. You get the M Sport steering wheel wrapped in leather with black stitching and M badging. There’s also the addition of M-spec roof lining along with a new interior trim. Feature additions include a heads-up display and a 10-speaker sound system (205 watts).

The biggest and probably the most significant addition is the availability of paddle shifters for the 7-speed DCT gearbox. This addition also enables the launch control feature, which, through loads of wizardry, helps in the ideal launch, providing maximum traction to propel the vehicle forward.

Features

Apart from the aforementioned new features, the 2 Series packs two 10.25-inch screens that make up the infotainment and instrument cluster, wireless phone charging, rear-view camera, ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, powered front seats and cruise control.
