While it features no mechanical changes, the cosmetic changes make it a different bike

Motorcycle customisation is not new, however, modding bikes into vintage rides is a recent trend. Taiwanese custom house Twist Moto has tastefully modified a Yamaha SR150 into a scrambler that will teleport you to the golden age of the 1960s and 70s.

In terms of appearance, the bike is quite a departure from its stock commuter design. The custom house has left no stone unturned to make the bike look as vintage and old-school as possible. It gets a retro circular headlight, wide high-rise handlebar, a classy peanut-shaped fuel tank and a small single-piece saddle. Overall, it looks like something the iconic Steve McQueen would have ridden.

Even the rear is pretty sleek and classy with a high-rise fender with the taillight mounted over it. The exhaust is a custom pea-shooter type, which only elevates the style of the bike.

The underpinnings seem to be untouched, with the exception of fork gaiters and custom wire spoke wheels wrapped in knobby off-road rubber. This should make it slightly more capable off the road, but not too much considering that things like the ground clearance amongst others are left untouched.

Mechanically, the bike seems to be unchanged, but the cosmetic changes are significant enough to give the bike a considerably different personality. One that looks more charming than ever.

If you are looking to buy a scrambler, you can opt for the Yezdi Scrambler and the Royal Enfield Scram 411 available in India.
