2024 was quite an exciting year, where we got to see many enthusiast focused bikes being launched. We saw everything from bobbers to scramblers and even powerful ADVs. Here's a brief overview of what we think are the top 5 enthusiast focused bikes of 2024.
The Shotgun 650 is a factory custom bobber from Royal Enfield. It is based on the Super Meteor 650 platform, but features a lot of design changes that make it the perfect bobber. The bike gets a more compact looking headlight section and a sleeker tank.
The bike comes with a single seat, giving it that bobber look. But customers have the option of getting an optional pillion seat. The bike overall looks quite good and out of the bobber options in the market, it is the best in our opinion.
It is powered by the same 648cc air and oil cooled engine as the Super Meteor 650. The engine outputs 47PS and 53.2Nm. What makes the Shotgun a really good deal is the attractive pricing.
If you are an Adventure enthusiast looking to go on long tours, then the Honda NX500 is the bike for you. It features the same design language as the CB500X which was discontinued earlier.
It is powered by a 471cc, liquid-cooled, parallel twin engine which outputs 47.5PS and 43Nm. It has come to India as CBU (Completely Built Unit), but the Japanese manufacturer has managed to price it quite reasonably.
Ultraviolette launched the updated version of their F77, called the Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2. The updated bike has undergone a few subtle changes in terms of design, such as the addition of newer clip-ons.
Other than this, the bike has seen an improvement in terms of performance. The bike now offers better range than the previous F77. The bike has also seen the addition of more features including 10-levels of dynamic regen braking.
TVS bought some much needed updates to the Apache RR 310 this year. The bike has undergone a lot of changes to its design along with improvements in performance.
The bike now gets fairing mounted winglets and a transparent clutch cover, which makes it seem like a higher capacity supersport. Along with this, the engine now outputs 4PS and 1.7Nm more.
Along with this, the brand is now offering two kits which will allow the rider to customize their bike. The kits offer a wide range of features, including adjustable suspension, a tyre pressure monitoring system, along with concerning traction control and more.
Factory custom bikes seem to be the new Royal Enfield thing these days. After the launch of the Shotgun 650 bobber, the brand has now brought a new scrambler to the table. The Royal Enfield Bear 650 scrambler.
The bike is a factory custom Interceptor, with a new inverted fork and twin shock-absorbers. Along with this, the bike’s ground clearance has increased by 10mm. It is powered by the same engine as the interceptor, which is a 648cc air and oil cooled motor. But on the Bear, the motor offers 47.4PS and 56.5Nm, which is an increase of 3.2Nm.
Compared to the retro-looking Interceptor, the Bear 650 looks much better in our opinion. The bike manages to stand out quite well thanks to the funky colours.
