Tata’s highly anticipated SUV, the Tata Harrier now has an electrified version, called Tata Harrier.ev. It is one of their much-loved mid-size SUV. Equipped with a dual-motor AWD system, it offers the perfect blend of power and sustainability.
With an expected range of over 500 km on a single charge, the Harrier EV is going to enter the already packed electric SUV space. Tata’s commitment to tech shines with Level-2 ADAS, a panoramic sunroof, and a premium cabin.
Maruti Suzuki has taken the electric plunge with its first-ever electric SUV, the Maruti e Vitara, which was unveiled at Auto Expo 2025. Expected to hit the market by March 2025 with an approximate starting price of Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom), the e Vitara blends rugged, styling with a sober-looking interior.
Inside, it’s loaded with features like dual floating screens, Level-2 ADAS, ventilated seats, and a premium Harman/Kardon sound system. Powered by 49 kWh and 61 kWh battery options, it promises a range of over 500 km. Positioned against rivals like the MG ZS EV, Tata Curvv EV, and Hyundai Creta Electric, the e Vitara marks a bold step for Maruti as it takes on the electric future.
VinFast is electrifying the Auto Expo 2025 with its VF6 all-electric compact SUV, setting the stage for its launch later this year, just before the Diwali festive season. Positioned below the VF7, the VF6 turns heads with its sleek LED lighting, a bold dual-tone exterior, and a premium 5-seater cabin featuring soft-touch materials and a state-of-the-art 12.9-inch touchscreen. Add in Level-2 ADAS for a tech-forward driving experience, and you’ve got a vehicle that’s loaded to the brim with features.

Under the hood, the 59.6 kWh battery churns out 204 PS and offers a claimed range of 410 km range on the global-spec cars. With a price tag expected around Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom), the VF6 is ready to go head-to-head with contenders like the Hyundai Creta EV and MG ZS EV, making it a strong fighter amongst India’s rapidly expanding electric vehicle market.
MG Motor India has revealed the MG Cyberster, its first all-electric sportscar, unveiled at the Auto Expo 2025. The electric two-door convertible is now available for pre-bookings, exclusively through MG Select showrooms.
Under the hood, or rather under the base the Cyberster is powered by a dual-motor AWD system generating 510 PS and 725 Nm of torque and features a 77 kWh battery that promises a WLTP-claimed range of 443 km.
The Cyberster sort off boasts about numbers; it rockets from 0-100 kmph in a blistering 3.2 seconds, thanks to precision engineering by ex-F1 engineer Marco Fainello. The car’s cutting-edge design features include striking scissor doors, a futuristic triple-screen dashboard, and unmistakable MG styling elements.
Hyundai has finally rolled out the highly anticipated Creta EV at Auto Expo 2025, with prices starting at Rs 17.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The electric SUV is available in four variants and a choice of 10 colour options, featuring two battery packs — 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh, offering a range of up to 473 km.
The Creta Electric is propelled by an electric motor producing 171 PS, enabling it to zip from 0 to 100 kmph in just 7.9 seconds. Inside, the SUV is packed with premium features, including dual 10.25-inch displays, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, and Level-2 ADAS for added safety. With its sleek design and electric powertrain, the Creta Electric is ready to take on rivals like the MG ZS EV and Tata Curvv EV, offering a compelling blend of performance, comfort, and tech-savvy features.
Vayve Mobility launched India's first solar-powered (or assisted) car, the Vayve Eva, priced at Rs 3.25 lakh. This compact and quirky electric car offers a claimed range of 250 km on a full charge and can gain 50 km of range with just 5 minutes of charging.
Designed to accommodate two passengers, the Eva boasts a 14 kWh battery, a top speed of 70 kmph, and solar panels on the roof that generate an additional 3,000 km of range annually.
With features like a dual-screen cockpit, air conditioning, and fast charging capabilities, this solar-powered micro-mobility solution is an interesting one to compete in the growing urban EV market, with bookings now open.
