[UPDATE: Tork Motors has launched the Kratos in India at Rs 1.32 lakh onwards. More about the specifications, availability and pricing in our launch story]
Indian EV startup Tork Motors is set to launch its new electric bike, the Kratos, tomorrow on the all-important 75th Republic day of India. The Tork Kratos was previously dubbed the Tork T6X. But the company claims it has made several changes to the motorcycle, which ultimately warranted a new name as well.
In its latest sighting, the Tork Kratos appeared quite different to the T6X’s previous sighting. It bore a new fascia, more pronounced bodywork, and the trellis frame is no longer exposed.
The Tork Kratos will also feature a proprietary operating system called Tork Intuitive Response Operating System (TIROS). This basically manages critical functions, such as power management, real-time power consumption, data compilation, and range forecasts, to improve overall user experience. Additionally, one can expect it to boast features like navigation, anti-theft, geo-fencing, and a smartphone charging port. For more details, here’s everything we know so far about the Tork Kratos.
If you’re already sold on the Kratos, we’re happy to report that its bookings will commence soon after the official launch, while the deliveries are scheduled for the next few months. The bike could retail for around Rs 1.5 lakh (ex-showroom). Moreover, FAME-II benefits will no doubt make life easier. Unfamiliar with the FAME-II subsidy? Well, lucky for you, here’s a detailed explanation.
