Toyota Diesel Cars – Innova, Hilux, Fortuner – Average Waiting Periods Revealed

Toyota has revealed data for the official average waiting times of its models. So if you were planning to book a diesel-powered Toyota vehicle, namely the Innova Crysta, Fortuner or Hilux; here’s the average waiting time that you’ll have to endure to get them home. 

Innova Crysta

Despite the launch of a new-gen model (Innova Hycross), the Innova Crysta is going strong and refuses to sit on the sidelines. The demand is strong, so much so that the MPV has an average waiting period of approximately seven months. While that is less than the waiting time for the Innova Hycross Hybrid variants (approx 12-13 months), it is still more than Innova Hycross petrol variants (5-6 months).

Toyota Fortuner

If you were looking to bring home the Toyota Fortuner, the big boy won’t keep you waiting for extended periods of time. Average waiting period ranges between approximately one and two months. 

Toyota Hilux

One of the few pickup trucks in the whole country, the Toyota Hilux, can reach your garage approximately 1 month after you place the order for one. It shares the same 2.8-litre diesel engine as the Toyota Fortuner.

While the Innova Crysta is powered by a 2.4-litre diesel engine, the Hilux and Fortuner share the 2.8-litre diesel engine. The MPV rivals the Kia Carens, Maruti Invicto, and Mahindra Marazzo, while being a more affordable alternative to the new-generation Innova Hycross. The Hilux is the sole rival to the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross, while the Fortuner takes on the MG Gloster, Skoda Kodiaq, and Jeep Meridian.
