The upcoming Ather 450 Apex can be booked with an amount of Rs 2,500 and it is fully refundable. The deliveries of the electric scooter will start in March 2024. Ather Energy also revealed details about a couple of new features. One of them is a new riding mode called Warp+. It will most likely replace the Warp mode in the 450 Apex. Based on the teaser, it will offer even quicker acceleration than the Warp mode, which is insane because the Warp mode in the 450X itself makes it one of the fastest accelerating scooters in the country.
The other feature that the 450 Apex will get will most likely be multi-level regen braking, as hinted by the teaser. Comparatively, the 450X gets coasting regen, which slows down the scooter when you let go off the throttle without applying the brakes.. In our earlier story, we mentioned that the transparent panels are making a comeback and the EV maker has now confirmed on their website the 450 Apex is the one that will get those panels. One of the colour schemes to be offered for the new scooter might be called Indium Blue.
The upcoming Ather 450 Apex is expected to get the same 3.7kWh capacity battery pack as the 450X but with slightly different tuning to produce more performance than the 6.4kW output in the 450X. Also, it might get cruise control and at least single-channel ABS.
The Ather 450 Apex will likely be priced around the Rs 1.60 lakh (ex-showroom Bengaluru, including FAME 2 subsidy) and is expected to be launched towards the end of December 2023. Its rivals will be the Ola S1 Pro, Simple One and TVS X.
