In 2021, Benelli got us the BS6 versions of the motorcycles already on sale and also introduced new ones. But what does the Italian-Chinese company have in store for us in 2022? Here’s a look at the upcoming Benelli bikes in India:
Benelli Leoncino 250
After a brief stint here, the Benelli Leoncino 250 went off the shelves for not complying with BS6 emission norms. However, now that the bikemaker has unveiled the Euro5/BS6 model overseas, we reckon the baby Leoncino will grace Indian shores by the first half of 2022.
Benelli TNT 600
Benelli’s inline-four mid-displacement naked has been one of the most popular models in the country, thanks to its rorty exhaust note. Now, with the bikemaker already selling the revamped Euro5 model in Europe, the motorcycle will likely make a comeback here. From LED headlights and a TFT instrument console to Brembo brakes and Bosch-sourced ABS, the Benelli TNT600 has got a substantial update. So, expect the bike to be priced at a slight premium over the predecessor.
Benelli TRK 800
The flagship ADV from Benelli is a no-brainer for the Indian market, given the country’s newfound love for big ADVs. The Benelli TRK 800 not only looks the part, but with a 754cc parallel-twin mill belting out 76.13PS at 8500rpm and 67Nm at 6500rpm, a fully adjustable suspension, Brembo brakes, and a massive 22-litre tank, it means serious business too. We expect this bike to arrive late 2022 at around Rs 8.50 lakh.
