The sub-4m sedan segment seems to be the talk of town as Honda has just teased the design sketches of the upcoming Amaze’s exterior and interior. The design sketches hint at what to expect from the upcoming Amaze, and also reveal a segment-first feature onboard. So without any further ado, let’s take a look at all the fresh details that the new teaser divulges:
The design sketches of the upcoming Honda Amaze hint at styling cues inspired from various Honda models. The front boasts similarities with the global Accord, thanks to its bigger grille and sleeker headlights. The headlights look rather detailed as well with dual LED elements within it and a sleek DRL just above that.
The styling looks rather low-slung in profile, but that’s just an extension of the design sketches. The production version will have a regular stance and is likely to sit on 15- or 16-inch alloy wheels.
The rear styling seems to be very City-like with a similar shape for the tail ights and even similar contours for the LED strip within it. The bumper looks rather simple with minimal cuts and creases, but the production-spec model could sport further details.
The latest teaser gives us the first ever look inside the cabin layout of the upcoming Amaze and it seems like it is going to be largely similar to the Elevate SUV. The layout looks identical, but with different materials and finished for the panels. Just like the Elevate, the infotainment system (likely 8-inch), just out of the central dashboard.
The control unit for the aircon also looks identical, while the typical 3-spoke Honda steering has been carried over. As for features, we can spot a semi-digital driver’s display, similar to what the Elevate and City get, along with a touchscreen system, sound system, auto AC, wireless phone charger, and electric ORVMs. Its infotainment system should also offer wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

While there’s no dope on its safety kit, we can spot a graphic for the lane-keep assist feature on the driver’s display, suggesting that the new Amaze is likely to get segment-first ADAS features. It will likely be a camera based system, and include features like blind spot detection, lane keep warning, and front collision warning.
We don’t expect Honda to make any tweaks in the powertrain department.
The new-gen Amaze should continue with the same 90PS/110Nm 1.2-litre petrol engine, paired to either a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT.
Pricing for the new Honda Amaze will be out on December 4, where we expect it to carry a premium over the outgoing model, which is priced from Rs 7.19 lakh (ex-showroom).
It’ll continue to rival the likes of the new Maruti Dzire, Hyundai Aura, and Tata Tigor.
