Upcoming Mahindra 5 Door Thar ROXX To Get Not One But Two Sunroof Options

Mahindra is geared up for its next big launch in India, the 5 door Thar ROXX, which will make its India debut on August 15, 2024. As per the multiple spy shots and leaked images, we know that the Thar ROXX will be equipped with a host of premium features, much more than what is available on the existing 3-door model. The recent official teaser confirmed that the off-roader will be equipped with a panoramic sunroof, and a leaked video of its mid-spec variant also showed us that the lower-spec variants will come with a regular sunroof. 

Usually, car brands only offer a single type of sunroof with a particular model and that too is offered only with the higher-spec variants. However, Mahindra has gone a step further and given two sunroof options with the upcoming Thar ROXX, depending on the variant you choose. This will be helpful to those who can’t stretch their budgets to the top-spec variants, but still want a sunroof in their car. 

Mahindra Thar ROXX: Features

The top-spec variant of the Thar ROXX will be equipped with a feature-rich cabin. The list of expected features include, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a 360-degree camera, a wireless phone charger, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, keyless entry, cruise control, and a dual-zone climate control.

In terms of safety, it is expected to get 6 airbags as standard, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill-ascent control, front and rear parking sensors, and ADAS features. 

Mahindra Thar ROXX: Powertrain

The Mahindra Thar ROXX is expected to get two engine options, a petrol and a diesel. It will likely be equipped with a 150 PS 2-litre turbo-petrol and a 132 PS 2.2-litre diesel, but with more output. A six-speed manual and an automatic transmission are expected to be available. Both rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive options will be available with the Thar ROXX.

Mahindra Thar ROXX: Price And Rivals

The upcoming 5 Door Mahindra Thar ROXX is expected to be priced from around Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom). It will go up against the Force Gurkha 5-door, while being a larger alternative to the Maruti Suzuki Jimny.
