With the recent launch of the new Bullet 350 and the upcoming launch of the Himalayan 450, Royal Enfield’s lineup is set to expand even further as the upcoming Classic 650 has been spotted again in an almost production-ready guise.
The upcoming Classic 650 is based on the Super Meteor 650's platform and it will be powered by the same 648cc air-/oil-cooled BS6.2-compliant engine producing 47PS and 52Nm. It is expected that the engine will be tuned differently to suit the Classic’s traditional riding style. The styling of the bike is very similar to that of the Classic 350 with the headlight nacelle, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, split-seat setup, peashooter exhaust and an upright riding stance because of the mid-rise handlebar and mid-set footpegs.
When it was spied a few months ago, we saw that the upcoming Classic 650 will get an LED headlight unit with halogen turn indicators and a telescopic fork with dual shock absorber suspension setup. It gets disc brakes on both ends with dual-channel ABS expected to come as standard.
The upcoming Royal Enfield Classic 650 is expected to be launched sometime in early 2024 and will likely get a price tag of Rs 3.2 lakh (ex-showroom).
