Upcoming Royal Enfield Classic 650 Spied Again

Quick News Highlights:

- The Royal Enfield Classic 650 has been spied again

- The maroon and off-white colour looks very radiant

- The roadster will be powered by a 648cc air and oil-cooled parallel-twin engine

The upcoming Royal Enfield Classic 650 is the next motorcycle to be launched by the Chennai-based manufacturer. And before that, the retro-styled bike has been spotted testing, giving us a glimpse into one of its colour schemes.

In this spy shot, we can see that the 650cc roadster gets a maroon and off-white colour combination. Half of the tank is painted in the off-white colour with the brand name “Royal Enfield” written in a freehand font. The side panel also gets the off-white colour. The rest of the fuel tank and the bike is covered in maroon. The shiny and glossy paint scheme makes the bike look quite radiant. The upcoming Royal Enfield Classic 650’s styling is very similar to that of the Classic 350 with the round headlight nacelle along with the iconic tiger lamps. The Classic 350 was recently updated with all-LED lighting and its bigger sibling will most likely get that setup as well.

The  Classic 650 has an upright riding stance with mid-set footpegs and a mid-rise handlebar, fork sleeves and spoke wheels (expected to be 18-inch units at both ends). It gets a rounded fuel tank and slightly upswept peashooter exhausts with a chrome finish. The single-seat setup is similar to that of the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650. As observed in a previous spy shot, the Classic 650’s exhaust has that iconic Royal Enfield thump with a faster beat.

The upcoming roadster will be powered by the same 648cc air-/oil-cooled parallel-twin engine producing 47.45PS and 52Nm found in the Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650, Super Meteor 650 and the Shotgun 650. The suspension setup consists of a telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers while braking duties are taken care of by a single disc brake at the front and the rear with dual-channel ABS available as standard.

The Royal Enfield Classic 650 is expected to be priced around the Rs 3.2 lakh (ex-showroom) mark. It is likely to be launched in a few months.
