Yamaha has been on an updating spree for its two-wheelers across markets, and this time around the Japanese auto manufacturer has updated the Lexi 125cc scooter in Indonesia. However, apart from a new colour scheme, the bike remains completely unchanged.
In terms of appearance, the updated Lexi retains its maxi-scooter styling with a muscular and bold design language. What’s new is that it now comes wrapped in a new matte green colour scheme complemented by flashy new silver graphics on the sides of the scooter. It looks more refreshing as compared to the previously available matte black colour option with golden graphics and rims.
Powering the Lexi is the same 125cc Blue Core liquid-cooled engine with VVA, producing 8.75PS and 11.3Nm.
On the features front, the Lexi gets a fully digital instrument cluster, an LED headlight, a USB charging socket and keyless operation. Not a lot on offer as compared to other 125cc scooters like the TVS NTorq 125 in India, which gets Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation.
The Yamaha Lexi is available in two variants: standard priced at Indonesia Rupiah 22,540,000 (around Rs 1.18 lakh) and an S variant priced at Indonesia Rupiah 25,565,000 (around Rs 1.35 lakh), a bit on the pricier end for a 125cc scooter.
The Lexi will not be heading to our shores any time soon. However, you can check out the 125cc sporty scooters available in India like the TVS NTorq 125, Suzuki Avenis and Honda Grazia 125.
