Besides launching the updated Giorno, Honda Japan has also introduced the 2022 Dunk scooter with some new colour schemes. Here's what you should know.
Unlike the sibling's retro design, the Honda Dunk seems more youthful and stylish. Bodywork-wise, it's Slim Jim, but likeable. You get edgy panels throughout with a halogen headlight flanked by bulb turn-indicators.
Like the Giorno, the Dunk is powered by a 50cc air-cooled single-cylinder motor making the same 4.5PS and 4.1Nm. And similar to its sibling, the Dunk is also a city slicker, suitable for grocery runs.
The Honda Dunk is suspended on a telescopic front fork and a single rear shock, and it uses a front disc brake and a rear drum brake. It gets an analogue console (with a digital inset below) and a USB charging port.
Like its sibling, the Dunk can hold 4.5 litres of fuel and is claimed to offer a mileage of 75kmpl, which is 5kmpl less than the Giorno. It tips the scales at 81kg and gets a seat height of 730mm, ideal for shorter riders.
The Honda Dunk retails at JPY 2,29,900 (approximately Rs 1.47 lakh) and is available in Japan only. Even though the two countries' economics work differently, the aforementioned price tag is a bit too much for a 50cc scooter. But if you want a stylish and youthful-looking scooter, we recommend the TVS NTorq 125 range.
