Vida V1 Pro: Get Free Charging, Free Service, And Extended Battery Warranty For 5 Years

Hero MotoCorp has announced a number of after-sales benefits under the new Vida Advantage package for customers of the Vida V1 Pro. This package contains services and benefits worth Rs 27,000 and will be valid for a period of 5 years. Customers can avail this aftersales package free of cost till April 31, 2024. 

As part of the Vida Advantage package, Hero MotoCorp is providing a 5 year / 60,000km warranty on both batteries and free access to the Vida fast charging network, consisting of over 2,000 charging points. Customers will be able to avail free maintenance and service at all Vida workshops and also avail 24x7 roadside assistance. And lastly, as part of the package, the full set of connectivity and safety features on the ‘My Vida’ app will be available to the customers. This is the first time a major manufacturer is offering all these benefits, effectively making the ownership of the e-scooter absolutely hassle-free for five years. With the free fast charging access, the everyday running costs will come down drastically, whereas the free service offer also ensures extremely low cost of maintenance. You may still have to pay for labour but that shouldn’t be much of a concern.

The Vida V1 Pro gets a 3.94kWh capacity battery pack with a claimed real world range of 110km and gets a motor with a continuous power output of 3.9kW. It has a price tag of Rs 1,26,200 (ex-showroom Bengaluru including FAME 2 subsidy). That said, FAME 2 subsidy will end by March 31, 2024 and will be replaced by the Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme 2024 (EMPS). However, the benefits available under the new scheme are lower than the ones available under FAME 2. As such, prices of EVs will shoot up from April 1, so this aftersales initiative is a clever way to compensate for that eventuality. Also, recently, the Vida V1 Plus made a comeback to the EV maker’s lineup and is now available with a Rs 30,000 discount.
