The new generation Hyundai Verna was only launched a few days ago, and images of the car having gotten involved in a crash have already emerged on the Internet. Ironically, this accident occurred on the launch day, March 21, and shows the car (likely the SX(O) variant of it) bearing temporary registration plates. Watch the video of this accident below:
As per eyewitnesses, the accident reportedly involved underage boys on a Royal Enfield Classic 350, allegedly riding at speeds of around 80-90kmph. The driver of the Verna was negotiating a left turn, when the Classic 350 rider lost control of his speeding bike and crashed into the front left portion of the car.
To make matters worse, both underage boys were not wearing a helmet, and as a result, were severely injured in the accident. The Verna’s front bumper was dislodged due to the impact and there were damages to the bonnet and quarter panel, while the rest of the car looks fine.
On the other hand, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 seems to be majorly damaged, with its front suspension bent. The chassis of the bike too looks to have bent from the impact, which clearly indicates the bike was running at a high speed when it collided with the Verna. The Classic 350 also has an illegal aftermarket exhaust fitted.
We at ZigWheels, would like to reiterate the need to follow all traffic rules while on the road. Always wear a helmet and appropriate safety gear while on a two-wheeler, and strap on the seat belt while driving a four-wheeler. If you are underage, keep your hands off that two-wheeler in your home.
