2023 Hyundai Verna gets voice-command-based feature activation.
It understands multiple languages, including English, Hindi and Hinglish (mix of Hindi and English).
The system can understand the commands and doesn’t require specific words to activate features.
2023 Verna is priced from Rs 10.9 lakh (ex-showroom).
One of the biggest talking points in the 2023 Verna is its extensive grocery-list rivalling features list. It gets what one would expect from this class of car and some more. And one of the biggest upgrades the sedan has received from its predecessor is the Hyundai Group’s new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
The new touchscreen infotainment system gets connected car tech, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and voice-command based feature activation. The last bit is what caught our attention as the system can understand multiple languages, including Hinglish (a mix of Hindi and English).
Even better, you don’t need to say the exact command to use these features. So for instance, if you say you’re feeling warm, in Hinglish, which is “Mujhe Garmi Lag Rahi Hai”, the sedan conked down the AC and switched on the ventilated seats to make the cabin colder. Another example is to activate the sunroof, for which we said, “I want to see the sky.” Voila, the sunroof opened up.

The takeaway from this reel and story is that the car understands the situation you’re in and activates the features, unlike certain models, where you need to say specific commands. So good job there, Hyundai!
