The all new Maruti Suzuki Swift has been launched in its fourth-generation avatar with refreshed looks, added features, and a completely new Z-series three-cylinder petrol engine.
Zigwheels always tries to bring out the factual road test reviews of newly launched vehicles, and this time around we have performed the 0 to 100 kmph acceleration test of the new Swift in both its manual and automatic powertrains. Do note that there were two people in the vehicle while it was tested and we will present more accurate figures when we get the Swift 2024 for an in-depth road test.
Meanwhile, here are our findings as seen in the instagram reel:
Swift Manual:
Upon sprinting the manual transmission of the Swift from a standstill, it takes 14.24 seconds to clock the 100 kmph mark.
Swift Automatic:
The automatic transmission on the Swift can be seen struggling more than the manual counterpart and reaches the 100 kmph mark in 17.02 seconds, which is almost 3 seconds of a gap.
The Maruti Suzuki Swift is offered with a single engine option, a 82PS 1.2 litre naturally aspirated 3-cylinder engine (Z12E) with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT). The Swift is the very first car in Maruti Suzuki’s model range to get this engine, and claims high fuel efficiency figures of 24.80 kmpl (Manual) and 25.75 kmpl (Automatic).
