Watch Wednesday: A Watch Dedicated To A Passionate Watchmaker And Enduro Rider

The CT Scuderia Scrambler is eye-catching for several reasons, particularly its unique rectangular case and the large, black on white numbers. The most striking aspects of this watch though are the large crown and chronograph buttons that are on the top instead of the sides. This unique positioning allows riders to easily access chronograph functions, in fact, the timepiece is built for use in rough riding conditions. It’s dedicated to its founder, a third-generation watchmaker and competition enduro rider, Enrico Margaritelli.

The CT Scrambler’s face has a unique shape that is a mix of a rectangle and a circle. It is a thick 3-piece steel case and comes in three surface finishes: copper, steel and black. The large crown gets a knurled circular finish and the two chronograph buttons get a paint finish on the top representing the Italian flag. The silicone strap which surrounds the top and bottom of the watch gets a quick-release mechanism that allows you to swap it with a leather band or a steel bracelet.

The watch features a sapphire crystal glass and is water-resistant up to 100 metres. Its face is either black or white with corresponding large white or black digits. On the face are equally large hour and minute hands in a white finish and a slim, sporty seconds hand so riders can easily identify the time even on the move. It is powered by a Swiss-made Ronda 3520 D quartz movement.
