This week saw many electric as well petrol-powered scooters and bikes available abroad making their way to India. Also, a much-awaited bobber got unveiled as well. Take a look at the week’s highlights below:
The Yamaha R3 and MT-03 was finally launched in India with exorbitant price tags of Rs 4,64,900 and Rs 4,59,900 (both ex-showroom Delhi). The prices are so high because they are arriving as CBU (Completely Built-Up) units from Indonesia.
Royal Enfield unveiled the much-awaited production-spec Shotgun 650. It gets distinct changes from the Super Meteor 650 enabling it to stand out on its own as a 650cc bobber.
The next-gen KTM 390 Adventure was spied abroad this week and it looks much sleeker than the current bike. It gets a taller windscreen, sharper fuel tank extensions and a whole host of changes.

Kinetic Green launched its latest offering, Zulu at Rs 94,990 (ex-showroom Mumbai). Interestingly, charging the scooter from 0-80% takes just 30 minutes.
Ather Energy opened the bookings for the upcoming 450 Apex. The electric scooter can be booked with a fully-refundable amount of Rs 2,500 and deliveries will start from are set to start in March 2024.
Gogoro unveiled the CrossOver GX250 and also launched its battery swapping ecosystem in India. The electric scooter will be manufactured in Maharashtra, making it the EV maker’s first scooter to be made in India. But there’s a big catch.
Simple Energy launched its more affordable offering called Dot One with an introductory price tag of Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom Bengaluru). The scooter gets a top speed of 105kmph and a claimed range of 151km.
TVS revealed the specifications of its RTE (Racing Throttle Electric) track-only bike at MotoSoul 2023. It gets a liquid-cooled motor with a claimed top speed of more than 200kmph.
TVS launched the dual-channel ABS variant of the Apache RTR 160 4V with a price tag of Rs 1,34,990 (ex-showroom Tamil Nadu). It also gets voice assistance now.
