Talk about being creative with a marketing campaign! Tata has absolutely knocked the ball out of the park with this innovative display of the Altroz CNG at the Mumbai airport.
Tata has installed the rear exterior of the premium hatchback at the gates of the conveyor belt at one of the gates at the Mumbai Airport. The belt protrudes out of the open boot - a move done to boast the expansive boot space that the Altroz offers despite it being a CNG model.
If you don’t already know, the Altroz CNG is a pioneer for twin-cylinder technology amongst CNG vehicles in India. Its unique setup optimises the space in the boot and ekes out every inch or litre of storage possible, which otherwise would’ve been taken up, for the most part, by a single mammoth of a cylinder found in most of the CNG offerings in the country.
The space saving achieved with the twin-cylinder configuration allows Tata to offer a 210-litre boot capacity for the Altroz CNG. To make the deal even sweeter, it still has a space-saver spare wheel mounted underneath the car, so you won’t have to compromise on that front either.

Tata offers the CNG kit in seven variants of the Altroz: XE, XM+ XM+ (S), XZ, XZ+ (S), and XZ+ O (S). And unlike some carmakers that don’t offer premium features with CNG variants, Tata hasn’t held back and still offers a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, a sunroof, and wireless phone charger. Its safety kit comprises dual airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors with a camera.

This specific marketing campaign might sound and look a bit bizarre at first, but kudos to the creative process behind this display. Tata retails the Altroz CNG between Rs 7.55 lakh and Rs 10.55 lakh (ex-showroom), while prices for the standard Altroz juggle between Rs 6.59 lakh and Rs 10.73 lakh (ex-showroom). The Tata Altroz rivals the Hyundai i20, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, and Toyota Glanza. The i20 is the only one in this segment without a factory-fit CNG.
