Yes, you read the headline right. Ventilated seats are a boon in India’s hot and humid conditions for most part of the year and many models are starting to offer this kit. However, the new Honda Elevate doesn’t and it’s a bummer considering most of its rivals get one. But if you’re considering the Elevate and also want ventilated seats, there’s a workaround to have this feature.
Honda is offering ventilated seat covers as an official accessory for the Elevate, at Rs 6,000. And as for the power output for this kit, it will be plugged into your car’s 12-volt power socket. So if you install both the front seats with this accessory, do note you can’t use them at the same time. The effectiveness of this feature is also yet to be known as we haven’t tested it, but it’s a workaround for those who want a cool back in the Elevate.
Other notable features onboard the Honda Elevate include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, sunroof, a semi-digital instrument cluster and wireless phone charger. As for safety, it’s taken care of by six airbags, electronic stability control and ADAS.

Powering the Honda Elevate is a 1.5-litre petrol engine belting out 121PS and 145Nm. You can team this with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT. There’s no alternative engine option available, but later down the line, Honda will be offering an all-electric version of the Elevate. The Honda Elevate is priced from Rs 11 lakh to Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom). The carmaker is now focussing on deliveries and has conducted two mega delivery events of over 300 units (combined). It locks horns with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, VW Taigun, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and the Citroen C3 Aircross.
