After its launch on October 17, Tata Motors has commenced deliveries of the 2023 Safari facelift. This is the Safari’s first design refresh since this generation went on sale in February 2021. Prices for the 2023 Safari start from Rs 16.19 lakh (ex-showroom), and it is offered in four broad trims with seven colour options to choose from.
The facelifted 2023 Safari draws inspiration from the Curvv concept, with significant changes including a closed-off grille, connected LED DRLs, connected LED taillights, and a revised bumper. It also rolls on new, larger alloys.
Its overhauled cabin packs features such as a larger 12.3-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto/Apple Carplay, a new 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a 10-speaker JBL sound system, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front and rear seats (6-seater configuration), electrically powered seats for front row, wireless phone charging and dual-zone climate control.

Safety is taken care of with ABS with EBD, up to 7 airbags, hill hold assist, electronic stability control, a 360-degree camera, a tyre pressure monitoring system and advanced driver assistance systems.
Powertrain options for the 2023 Safari facelift are limited to a 170PS/350Nm 2-litre diesel engine paired to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. It delivers a claimed fuel efficiency of 16.3kmpl with the manual transmission and 14.5kmpl with the automatic transmission.
Prices for the new Tata Safari start from Rs 16.19 lakh (ex-showroom) and go up to Rs 27.34 lakh (ex-showroom). It rivals the likes of Mahindra XUV 700 (7-seater variants), MG Hector Plus, and Hyundai Alcazar.
