Have you had your eyes on the new 2023 Tata Nexon facelift? Select dealerships have opened bookings for the revised subcompact SUV. It’s slated to launch on September 14 and both the EV and ICE versions will be introduced on the same day. This will be the first major overhaul for the Nexon, where it gets new exterior and interior designs as well as an updated powertrain.

Even though the Nexon’s debut is still a while away, images of the undisguised model have surfaced online, giving us a first-hand look of its design. Even the interior of the model has been snapped without camo and borrows plenty of touches from the Curvv concept. Fancy taking a closer look? Head to this link

The 2023 Tata Nexon will get plenty of new features such as a fully digital driver’s display, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 360-degree camera, ambient lighting, and up to six airbags. Bits such as the ventilated front seats, sunroof, cruise control, Harman sound system, electronic stability control, and tyre pressure monitoring system will be carried forward.

The changes are likely to extend underneath the hood, where the Nexon is expected to get the carmaker’s 1.2-litre T-GDI turbo-petrol engine, likely with a DCT. The existing 1.5-litre diesel engine and electric powertrains could be carried forward as is.

Considering all the changes on board, we suspect the Nexon will command a premium over the current model that is priced from Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom). It will continue to lock horns with the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Nissan Magnite and upcoming Mahindra XUV300 facelift.
