The Honda City facelift is inching closer to its launch day by day. We’ve already got the first look at the compact sedan before Honda would've wanted to, thanks to a number of leaked images. And now, offline bookings have opened. So if you had been eyeing the facelifted City until now, you can now book it for yourself ahead of its launch on March 2.
Calling it a facelift could be considered a bit of a stretch. Leaked images show a largely similar design with very minute alterations - a restyled grille with mesh inserts and slightly tweaked front and rear bumpers.
The cabin layout has been carried over from the outgoing model; however, the facelift could bring new upholstery trims for the seats. The exact features list hasn’t been confirmed yet, but equipment like ventilated seats, wireless phone charging, and more are expected to make their way into the facelifted compact sedan.
The City Hybrid, the hybrid version of the standard compact sedan, boasts ADAS functionality, which could trickle down to the standard City to bolster its safety net. You can know more about it here.

As for the engine options, the diesel will be discontinued with the facelift and only the petrol and petrol hybrid powertrains will be available. It is also expected that the hybrid powertrain, which is currently exclusive to the top-spec trim, will be offered on the lower variants of the City.

Of course, upgrades in life come at a price and so will the 2023 Honda City. You can expect the prices to creep upwards and begin from somewhere around Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom). Thanks to an improved arsenal, the facelifted Honda City will put up a stronger fight against the Maruti Ciaz, Skoda Slavia, Volkswagen Virtus, and the upcoming 2023 Hyundai Verna.
