You Can Now Unofficially Book The New Honda Amaze At Select Dealerships Ahead Of Its Launch

A couple of Honda dealerships have already started taking unofficial bookings for the new-gen Amaze, ahead of its launch on December 4. This new avatar of the Amaze will get a new exterior design, as well as an upgraded interior with plenty of new features. Teasers have already revealed some of the features including a segment-first feature. Read on to know more about the new Amaze: 

New Honda Amaze Design 

The new Honda Amaze gets a new design, taking inspiration from global Honda models like the Accord and Civic. The fascia looks completely new now with a larger grille and sleek LED headlights. 

We expect a fresh sporty design for the alloy wheels (likely 16-inch). The rear will sport a sleeker City-like appearance with similar LED lighting elements. The bumper also seems to be tweaked and looks more minimalist now. Furthermore, you get a shark fin antenna which adds a sporty touch to the rear. 

New Honda Amaze Interior And Features 

The interior of the Amaze features a new dashboard design and layout which looks similar to that of the larger Elevate compact SUV. From the design sketches, it looks like the 3-spoke Honda steering has been carried over, however, you get a new centre console, new infotainment unit and driver’s display and many more added features for giving you a more upmarket experience. 

In terms of features, we expect it to get a larger 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, sem-digital driver’s display, a wireless phone charger, automatic AC with rear AC vents, a sunroof, cruise control, 6 speakers and wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay. 

As we could decode from the interior design sketches, the new Amaze will be getting ADAS features, making it the first in its segment to get this safety kit. Other safety features should include 6 standard airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, hill-hold assist, and a reverse parking camera with sensors. 

New Honda Amaze Powertrains

In the powertrain department, we expect Honda to continue with the existing engine and gearbox options. 

The new-gen Amaze’s powertrain will feature the 1.2-litre petrol engine which makes 90 PS and 110 Nm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual transmission and a CVT.

New Honda Amaze Expected Price And Rivals 

Prices for the new Honda Amaze will be revealed on December 4. It is expected to carry a slight premium over the existing model, which retails from Rs 7.19 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Amaze will continue its rivalry with the likes of Maruti Dzire, Hyundai Aura and Tata Tigor.
