When we talk about cars in a star garage, the names that turn up usually start with Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, or Land Rover. However, beating this trend, Suniel Shetty has added an EV to his fleet which, although highly practical for a city like Mumbai, is not something we expected. It's small, has two doors and comes with a fancy interior. And no, it's not the Mini Cooper SE; It is none other than the MG Comet EV.
In its top Plush variant, the electric hatchback would have cost the star a humble Rs 10.5 lakh, which is not even a fraction of the other cars he has. For reference, the star loves luxury SUVs, like the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG and Land Rover Defender 110, both of which cost well over a crore.
The actor has picked up the MG Comet in the Starry Black shade, sharing it on Instagram along with the caption saying that it’s his first electric vehicle.

In our test, the Comet covered a real-world range of 182 km, which means the actor could easily go a week without charging it and it will be quite easy to drive around in the narrow and crowded streets of Mumbai.
While the MG Comet feels small, it comes with plush interiors and modern features like a large touchscreen, digital driver’s displays and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It comes with two doors, a modern design with split headlights, LED light bars both at the front and back, and alloy wheels. MG is also offering dual-tone colour options along with customisation options on the Comet, which you can read more about here.

The small MG Comet is an ideal city vehicle with a small footprint, seating for four and a peppy ride thanks to its electric powertrain. While the car may not be for everyone, it seems to make its way as a sensible secondary vehicle for city runs. MG has equipped the Comet with a 17.3 kWh battery and a 42 PS electric motor with a peak torque of 110 Nm. The motor drives the rear wheels.
We wish the Bollywood star happy, safe and fun drives in his new EV.
