The Zero FXE electric bike is already on sale abroad. The international spec produces a peak output of 46.6PS at 4300rpm and 105.7Nm. It has a claimed top speed of 137kmph. The electric bike comes with a 7.2kWh battery pack and claims a range of 169km. The FXE electric bike takes around 9.7 hours to charge from 0 to 100 percent using a 650W charger.

The FXE electric bike comes equipped with a Showa 41mm inverted fork and a 40mm Showa monoshock. Braking on the electric bike is handled by 320mm front and 240mm rear disc brakes, with ABS as standard. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels on both ends, wrapped with  Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres abroad. The bike is pretty lightweight and has a kerb weight of only 140kg.

Even though the Zero FXE electric bike was seen testing in India, it is highly unlikely to be launched here. However, we think that testing the existing Zero e-bikes in the country would help Hero MotoCorp and Zero Motorcycles develop electric bikes, specifically suited to the Indian riding conditions.
