The entry-level adventure bike gets a multi-link suspension setup and more

Adding to its adventure motorcycle lineup, Zongshen has introduced the RX1S, which stands as the entry-level ADV bike in its Cyclone range. The RX1S model sits right above the RX1 model, a 200cc entry-level ADV, and much lower than the RX4 (450cc) and RX6 (650cc).

The bike gets a single-cylinder 249cc DOHC engine producing 24PS and 21Nm of torque, paired to a six-speed transmission. The Cyclone RX1S also features dual-channel ABS and is assisted by a slipper clutch.

In terms of styling, the RX1S sports a conventional ADV design with sharp edges and a narrowed fuel tank for the rider to get a better grip while standing. The 14-litre fuel tank is pretty large in its class and will be beneficial for longer jaunts. Its ground clearance is impressive too at 175mm. However, with a kerb weight of 184 kg, the bike surely is on the heavier end.

Talking about hardware, the RX1S gets a USD fork and a multi-link suspension setup. The Zongshen Cyclone R1XS seems to be quite a capable entry-level adventure bike but it is certainly not heading to our shores. However, you can check out ADVs such as the Benelli TRK 251 and the KTM Adventure 250 that we have here in India.
