Skoda could bring it to India sometime in2024.
After a rather lengthy teaser campaign, the 2024 Skoda Kodiaq has finally dropped covers globally. It gets exterior design revisions, an all new cabin layout with new features, and a slew of engine options, including a plug-in hybrid and turbo-petrol all-wheel drive option. Here’s are all the highlights of the 2024 Skoda Kodiaq:
It is evident that the design of the 2024 Kodiaq is an evolution over its predecessor. It retains the signature Skoda Butterfly grille, now flanked by sleeker split LED headlights. The lower bumper has also been reworked, but the same can’t be said for its profile, which is largely similar. The only tangible differences are the windowline, which tapers upwards as it moves towards the C-pillar, and the new alloy wheels. The latter is available in sizes ranging from 17 to 20 inches.
The most prominent change lies at the rear, where the Kodiaq receives a connected LED tail light setup. The Skoda wordmark rests between the upper leg of the tailight, while the tweaked bumper design and roof spoiler round up the changes at the rear.
The new Kodiaq has grown in size ever so slightly, yet, it offers 75-litres of extra boot space in comparison to the outgoing model, taking the total stowage capacity to 910-litres (5-seater) without the seats down.
The interior of the Kodiaq takes an entirely new direction, led by the huge 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The multi-layered dashboard looks chunky, while the dials sitting below the AC vents look neat along with the physical buttons that do multiple functions for various climate controls and infotainment duties.
The central tunnel is uninterrupted by any knob, lever or dial of any sorts, which not just looks aesthetic but also has a functional aspect as it opens up additional storage spaces. But where’s the gear lever, you’d ask? That has been moved behind the steering column.
Features-wise, there’s plenty on offer with the aforementioned touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, ambient lighting, a branded audio system, powered front seats, ventilated and heated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charger and USB-C fast chargers.
It even gets a bunch of ADAS features including blind spot monitoring, parking assist, automated emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control.. The rest of the safety features include up to 9 airbags, electronic stability control, hill hold assist and ABS with EBD.
The drivetrain options available with the 2024 Kodiaq will leave you spoilt for choices. There are a host of turbo-petrol, diesel, mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains on offer, that can be paired with a front-wheel or an all-wheel drive setup.

The plug-in hybrid powertrain gets a 25.7kWh battery pack, allowing for an electric-only range of 100km. It also supports fast charging capabilities up to 50kW. However, these are the global specs, and India is likely to get the 204PS, 2-litre petrol powertrain option only.
This generational makeover of the Kodiaq should make its way to India sometime in 2024. And it is likely to do so with a bigger price tag than the outgoing model’s prices, which range between Rs 38.50 lakh and Rs 41.94 lakh (ex-showroom). It’ll continue to fend off competition from the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, Volkswagen Tiguan, Citroen C5 Aircross, and Jeep Meridian
