Japanese carmaker Toyota has globally revealed the 2025 Camry premium sedan. It features a major overhaul in terms of design, and it comes with plenty of new features. Also, the India-bound car is powered by a more powerful hybrid powertrain. Here are five things you need to know about it.
The 2025 Camry looks sporty, with its front end similar to the Prius. It gets a slim grille that merges with the funky and sleek LED headlights. In profile, the Camry boasts plenty of sharp lines, and rides on new multi-spoke dual-tone 19-inch alloys. The rear boasts new LED taillights, a rear lip spoiler, and a dual-tip exhaust, adding a touch of sportiness to the car.
The cabin is all new too, and looks very smart. You get a large touchscreen infotainment system, but with physical buttons for the climate control. The driver also gets a fully digital display. Globally, it is offered in a sporty black and red dual-tone cabin theme along with the standard beige and black interior theme. It features leather seat upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters, and aluminium pedals.

The new Camry gets a 12.3-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, dual-zone climate control, powered and ventilated seats with memory function, a panoramic sunroof, a wireless phone charger, and a 9-speaker JBL sound system.
Safety is taken care of with multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and ADAS features like lane change assist, front cross-traffic alert, front and rear park assist, lane departure warning, and an automatic high beam system.
Underneath the hood, it gets a 2.5-litre four-cylinder hybrid powertrain combined with two electric motors. Globally, it is offered in front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive options, with the front-wheel-drive variant producing 225PS and the all-wheel drive variant producing 232PS. The 2.5-litre hybrid engine is paired with a CVT.
When launched in India, expect it to carry a premium over the existing model, which is priced at Rs 46.17 lakh (ex-showroom). It locks horns with the Skoda Superb, which has also received a generational update in the overseas market. It’s also an alternative to German luxury sedans such as the Mercedes-Benz A-Class, BMW 2 Series and Audi A4.
