Just over a week since its launch, the Maruti Grand Vitara has already started reaching its respective homes, as the carmaker has shipped 4,770 units in September. Bookings for the compact SUV have been underway since July, subsequently resulting in the carmaker racking up over 57,000 bookings at the time of launch.
Patience will be key if you’re looking to book the Grand Vitara now, thanks to the aforementioned booking amount that has translated to sky rocketing waiting times, which go up to eight and five months for the strong and mild-hybrid variants, respectively.

The mild-hybrid tech is Maruti’s own, while the strong-hybrid pack has been borrowed from Toyota. Check out how the two powertrains fare against each other in our detailed overview.
